It's finish scratches extremely easy and it's very light in weight, tips over, just not worth the money. It's more like a $9.99 item at Walmart. I bought this because it was $50 expecting nice quality. Complete junk. Used for a week and put in basement, 2 for $100. 6 of 6 people found the following review helpful. Just what I needed By SV I was looking for a small table to put my tea or whatever on while sitting in my reading chair. I also use it for my use anywhere mouse. This table fits the bill. The top is a tad under 15" long and just under 11" wide. The Magazine holder you see in the picture inside dimensions are 2 1/2" deep and 6" wide. It holds a steno notepad with some space to the sides as well as most paperback books. You cannot see in the picture but it has a support arms under the top on both the left and right about 1 1/2" in from the outer side edge. From the base of that to the bottom of the foot 21 3/4". It does not go over the arm of my chair because of these but I don't need it to. With the arms inset I can pull it in as far as I need it to for my mouse. We didn't realize about the arms but I can use it in a number of ways that work for me. The picture color is accurate for this piece. The stain is evenly applied and it looks nice. The surfaces are all smooth and I have not had a problem with scratching. It does get used a lot so if it was going to be damaged or tip over it would have. It's sturdy so I don't even worry about it tipping even loading it lopsidedly. It doesn't move around as easily as a Table Mate but its not supposed to. We can move it easily with some resistance which is what you want. I don't want to move around if I bump it while on the couch. The package it came in had a dent so I was concerned but the table was well protected. You do assemble it yourself. I found the instructions easy to follow and it was quick to assemble. I used a powered screwdriver of my husbands. We tried it in the living room after we removed the coffee table for more room. Our concern was that the base would be to thick to go under our couch with is almost on the floor but its only ~1/2" so not a problem. We love it and are ordering a second in the same color. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. VERY SMALL TABLE By D. Bradford Don't make the mistake I did, reading a review that said this table is big enough for a lap top and cup of coffee. It is NOT. This table can be used for a small book and cup, but not much else. (The picture should have clued me in.) My 2 year old granddaughter likes using it, but I wouldn't put anything on it that could spill, because it can easily topple over. While it's still functional for small needs, it did not meet my expectations. The company was nice to deal with, and the delivery was prompt. Next time I'll be sure to measure first...or just go to the store to purchase exactly what I need. See all 9 customer reviews...
