I was very pleasantly surprised when I opened the box. The table is heavy, sturdy and very nice looking. Assembly was very quick and easy, thanks to the top half of the table already being assembled (that was a nice surprise!) I Fixed the Minor Damage By M. Neeley These are nice tables. Very sturdy. The finish is good. The top surface is larger (24" x 24") than a standard end table. The finish is darker than other expresso furniture that we have A visitor remarked that she liked our new "black" tables. They are almost black. As several other reviewers have mentioned, our tables also had damage to the trim pieces on two of the legs. It was easy to fix with glue. Overall this was a good purchase and we are satisfied.
